The Inclusion Strategy Group (ISG) champions inclusive practice across education settings in Derby City and beyond by providing strategic leadership, support, and guidance. Our vision is to ensure that every child belongs so they can thrive during their time in education.
The ISG reports to and is governed by the Derby City Local Area Inclusion Partnership Board (LAIPB). ISG members offer advice and recommendations to promote consistent and inclusive practice across schools and education settings in Derby City and beyond. This work is underpinned by the Inclusion Charter, which serves as a shared code of practice, and is delivered through a universal offer.
The Strategic Plan ‘The Inclusion Movement’ (2025–2030) provides the framework to champion an inclusive culture which is built through strong relationships, high-quality provision and collaborative partnerships.
