Belonging Matters: ELSA Conference 2026 (STePS)
Join STePS for a special event for Emotional Literacy Support Assistants (ELSAs) and their line managers spotlighting the key areas of belonging, voice, relationships and resilience.
16 July 2026 - 08:45
Designed to boost confidence, refresh your toolkit and introduce new strategies you can take straight back into your work with children and young people, the conference will include a keynote on Emotionally Based School Non-Attendance and why belonging matters and the opportunity to take part in two practical workshops. ELSAs will enjoy a morning created entirely for them in their unique role. Refreshments are provided and there will be opportunity to meet and network with other ELSAs and line managers across the morning.
Recommended for
ELSAs and ELSA Line Managers working in Derby City Schools only.
Further information
We value greatly the contribution ELSAs make to the lives of children and young people in Derby City and the support ELSA line managers provide to enable ELSAs to work effectively. In recognition of our commitment to supporting ELSAs, the costs associated with running the ELSA mini conference are being subsidised by STePS so that we can offer ELSAs a conference place for only £30 which includes a free conference gift. ELSA line managers are encouraged to attend with an ELSA working in their school and may attend for free. Please ensure you complete and submit the Booking Form to indicate your workshop preferences.
